Queensryche, a progressive heavy metal band formed in 1981 in Washington, brought their music to WNY!  The band, which has released 11 albums, drew out a large crowd and many happy fans to the Molson Canal Concert Series.

1 World Tribe, The Ragbirds and The Rockaz opened up for the John Butler Trio for this Molson Canal concert! The free concert series in Lockport is sponsored by Molson Canadian Beer.

Opening acts The Albright's and Colors in the Air set the tone for the night with their own brand of alt rock.

If there was any doubt about the DeYoung's ability to deliver the intensity of Styx's brand of album rock, it was immediately dispelled as soon as DeYoung hit the stage. The original frontman and creative force behind Styx rocked the packed courtyard in Lockport from the first song to the final note. You could even say the his distinctive voice has gotten even stronger over time. The band was tight and the performance of some of the greatest hits of Styx was flawless. This has probably been one of the best acts that Molson has brought to the Canal Concerts!

This past Friday, Charlie Daniels rocked Ulrich Courtyard with his country music for the Molson Canal Concert Series. Opening for Daniels was HER, Kings County, and Ransomville. This Friday is the last concert of the series, so DO NOT miss out! The concerts are located at the David Ulrich City Centre in Lockport, just minutes from downtown Buffalo, and only a few stop lights away from everywhere. The concerts are 100% free and all ages are permitted. Backpacks and coolers are not permitted. So please, support the concessions so the concerts will remain free. Also, each week there will be an autographed guitar giveaway! We will be attending the series every week so be prepared to get your photos taken and don’t forget to stop back to check it out.
