La Tolteca Mexican Restaurant located on Transit Rd in Williamsville across from the Eastern Hills Mall offers a wide-ranging menu of really well prepared & fresh Mexican specialties including some authentic house recipes that will truly surprise.
Of course you can get the typical quesadillas, tacos, burritos & enchiladas that American tastes have become accustomed to. But the menu also features freshly prepared dishes that you won't find on the menu at most American Mexican restaurants, such as the Simpatia Especial, which comes with a choice of beef or chicken with vegetables (mushrooms, onions, carrots, mango, red and poblano peppers). Served with rice & a home-made sauce for $10.99 (Shrimp available upon request. Extra charge: $3.00)
And, if you're really hungry and can't make up your mind, try the “Grande” Special Sampler (Chalupa, chile relleno, enchilada, beef taco and burrito. Served with spanish rice and beans) for $14.29. That one is so big, it comes on two platters. And I'm ashamed to say I finished it all even though it's probably enough for 2 people.
Everything, including the Margaritas comes in generous sized portions and is very reasonably priced. Especially for the quality of the food.
The service too, is always quick. Even though the word seems to have gotten out about this place, and they're usually pretty busy.
