Today we heard some sad news, that the Lafayette Tap Room BBQ & Blues Saloon in downtown Buffalo, NY has CLOSED permanently. I called and the person who answered the phone at the Lafayette Tap Room confirmed that last Saturday was the last day that they were open & that the Lafayette Tap Room is CLOSED. We're sorry to see them go. There are not a lot of live music nightclub-bar type establishments downtown. And, none that we know of that feature blues-rock music. The Lafayette Tap Room also served up some terrific barbecue including smoked Buffalo chicken wings and fall off the bone ribs. We've had some really delicious meals there. Unfortunately it was a well kept secret. Sorry to see the Lafayette Tap Room go. We hope that the building developers will try to fill the space with a place that has the same type of atmosphere, music & flavor. It was a great representation of Buffalo's culture, like something that would be featured on the Travel Channel. Sorry to see the Lafayette Tap Room go.

We held our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Lafayette Tap Room in downtown Buffalo because of their award winning barbecue & smoked chicken wings. The Lafayette Tap Room in downtown Buffalo, NY is the home of the Blues and some great Barbeque. But last week, it was Dyngus Day party central with Polish music by Jimmy Wozniak. The Buffalobarfly Girls made an appearance, taking pictures and giving away prizes from our sponsors: Molson Candadian Beer and Coors Light. Ed Honeck and the crew from Nightlife Magazine also stopped in. The party was hosted by new Lafayette Tap Room owner Marc Alfieri who was giving away pussywillows and squirt guns.
