Saturday June 25, Son of the Sun held their CD release show at Nietzsche's in support of their new EP, Almost Not There. Son of the Sun filled Nietsche's with lush, ethereal psychadelic sounds as they previewed the upcoming CD. Son of the Sun will also be opening for Our Lady Peace at the Hard Rock in Niagara this Saturday July 2, 2011.

Although not headlining, the two opening acts Here Come the Comets and also Kingsley Flood also put on amazing shows.

Born in the days before alternative was a marketing term, McCarthyizm soon became a band known for blending 60's garage and 80's underground rock with strong melodies and intelligent lyrics. Nietzsche's on Allen Street is known for an eclectic mix of bands with live music every night. We made an unscheduled stop Friday night with the Molson Girls and Buffalobarfly.com photographer to catch the CD release concert with Armcannon. We got some great shots of their wild and energetic show before getting kicked out for sneaking in, missing the next act - which we heard was really good.
