7,000 partiers were on hand for the 2009 World's Largest Disco at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Things have definitely changed since the earlier years, with a huge 500,000 watt state of the art sound & light system, more bartenders & even more bathrooms. Saturday night, the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center hosted the first annual 2nd Chance Prom. This was a prom themed party for adults who may have missed their original prom or just wanted to put on a tux or gown & go to a great party. VIP ticket holders were treated to a reserved seating, gourmet catered buffet & open bar. Afterwards, the party moved to the main exhibition hall upstairs where That 80's Hair Band rocked a packed house of prom partiers with the top rock & pop hits from the 80's including from Huey Lewis & the News to Prince. There were even a few marraige proposals before the night was over. We're hoping that this fun event will become an annual tradition! One of the biggest parties of the year, The World's Largest Disco is a dance party to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life challenges.
