How It Works -Buffalo Pub Poker is committed to bringing fun, friendly, free-of-charge no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments to the bars and restaurants in Western New York that you already know and love. Take a look at our 'Where To Play' page to see what bars near you are hosting our games, and when they are hosting them. -Stop on out to one of our tournaments, and see how much fun you can have winning free prizes! Each tournament will produce nightly gift certificates/prizes based on the number of players who play in the tournaments. Additionally, the top TEN players in each tournament will receive points, with 1st place receiving 100 points, and each successive place receiving 10 less points, until 10th place receives 10 points. The points you earn are kept track of and updated weekly on our website, so that you can check and see where you are in our Western New York standings. -Any points you accumulate at any bar will be totaled and added to your score on a weekly basis. Therefore, if you go to BSG and win their 7:00 tournament on Tuesday night, then place third in their 10:00 tournament, and then go to Shenannigan's Bar and Grill for their Wednesday night game and place first again, you will have added 280 points to your total! -The points you earn at individual bars will be tracked, as well as your total points for that quarter. Either way, your total points can earn you a trip to our Quarterly Tournament, if you are in the top 40 positions! This tournament happens every quarter, and we send the winner to play in the $1500 World Series of Poker event, complete with airfare and hotel stay for the tourney! Additional prizes for players that make it to the final table include cash and area restaurant gift certificates, Buffalo Pub Poker gear, and much more! All for free! -Additionally, the top three players in our points system for each quarter are in line for prizes without even having to play in our Quarterly Tournament! A $300, $200 and $100 Visa gift card will be given to first, second and third places, respectively. So if you like to come out multiple times per week and are doing pretty well, you could be in line to compete for these awesome prizes as well! -One last addition: For those who can only make it to one bar per week, have no fear! The top two players who accumulate most points at any specific bar in a given quarter are guaranteed a spot in our final Quarterly Tournament as well! So for those of you who can only play one bar per week, you still have a great shot at making our final tourney, providing you do well! -So come out and give us a try.
