Check out Papaya restaurant & bar on Chippewa featuring delicious "Asian Fusion" dishes, sushi and terrific drink specials in a casual, yet sophisticated atmosphere. A few weeks ago, we sat down to a feast at Papaya including: Vietnamese Crispy Pork Spring Roll; Steamed Shrimp Wonton; Thai Chicken Wrap; a tender & flavorful Kurobuta Pork Chop; juicy Spicy Indian Clay Pot Chicken; Surf & Turf featuring a tender filet and a giant crab leg; Pad Thai Seafood-spicy Thai noodle with seafood, shrimp, mussels, egg, peanuts and scallion; Sizzling Duck-wok seared with onion, shiitake, steamed broccoli; and for dessert: Banana Spring Roll with homemade vanilla ice cream, carmel rum sauce garnished with a fresh strawberry. You might think that this was a meal for a party of eight. But, one of the perks of this job is getting to sample some of the best that Buffalo has to offer. Just the two of us finished off just about everything pictured in the accompanying photo album.

A week later, we were back on a Wednesday night to sample some of the sushi & appetizers. Every Wednesday, Papaya features live jazz along with half price appetizers at the bar until 7pm. The sushi was half price all night. And the drink prices featured 2-4-1 martinis and $2 bottles of beer.
