Soho is now a burger restaurant? Really? We had to check it out...
The bar & nightclub on Chippewa, previously known as Soho, is now Soho Burger Bar. The new restaurant features a selection of gourmet burgers & sides, including a delicious twist on the tater tot!
Of course the first thing that you'll notice is that much of the floor space is taken up with dining tables. This is definitely a restaurant now, with a bar in it.
The burgers start with freshly ground beef from local butcher, Johnny's Meats. Soho's "signature" buns are baked for them fresh at Romeo's Bakery (they also have wheat buns).
The Gold Standard burger features an 8oz. patty, aged cheddar, apple wood smoked bacon, arugula, garlic chive aioli and tomato confit. The Maytag Stuffed Burger is literally stuffed with maytag blue cheese served with apple wood smoked bacon.
Our dinner also included a delicious "...The Cookies Crumble" Spiked Shake with Oreos, chocolate ice cream and Tuaca (vanilla citrus liqueur) and a side of Soho's famous Truffle Tater Tots-house made tater tots seasoned with truffle oil, parmesan cheese and parsley.
The dinner was finished with a gift from the chef, kind of a cheesecake lollipop, covered in a chocolate shell.
Turning a nightclub into a gourmet restaurant isn't the easiest thing to do. But we have to admit that the food is really good. The burgers are juicy, the spiked shake is thick, delicious and...well it's spiked. And the tater tots are a surprise, definitely a unique take on the classic potato treat.
Next time you're on Chippewa, check out the food at Soho and tell them Buffalobarfly sent you... Click Here For The Rest.
