The Snooty Fox Lounge provides an intimate atmosphere and the quality service that makes it a unique venue for your special celebration. The menu may be limited in size, but what they do they do very well. We recently held an engagement party at The Snooty Fox. After calling ahead to reserve a table in the the private dining room, I browsed the menu for appetizers, tapas style dishes. For such an important occasion, we used Buffalo's premiere limousine service, Status Limousine. (I had emailed them an itinerary, which they confirmed via email within an hour & followed to a "T". Each passenger was picked up on time and in style.) When we arrived, several bottles of chilled champagne awaited us; a bottle of Moet & Chandon as well as a bottle of the drier Veuve Clicquot. As we were seated, trays of flatbread pizzas, meats, cheeses & olives and shrimp cocktail were laid out on our table. I was pulling out all the stops since this was the first meeting of our parents. My friend, Sal, the owner, stopped in several times to check on us; and I introduced him to our families. In fact, coming to the Snooty Fox is kind of like visiting family. Our server, Maria, was extremely warm & attentive; but not pushy. We took our time to enjoy the first round and socialize before considering the entrees. As the Snooty Fox is a lounge & not a formal restaurant, there are just a few choices. Of course, even after a long pause, the appetizers were so filling that some of our guests almost didn't order anything else. But just about everybody wanted to try the Snooty Steak, an espresso rubbed beef tenderloin filet, wrapped with prosciutto and grilled to perfection, finished with Gorgonzola butter and a chocolate reduction sauce - a steak like no other. Even after several hours to graze & digest, dessert was almost too much. But, the sinfully chocolate cake with dark chocolate frosting paired with a smooth, creamy dessert resembling whipped cannoli filling was just irresistible. Dessert was served on trays to be shared, lessening the challenge. And we finished it all! With the parents all pleased, we called for our driver, Steve, who was waiting at the doorstep by the time we exited.
