There's a new bar on the Allentown scene, bringing a whole new vibe to the neighborhood. Husband & wife team Pat Duquin (longtime Hutch's GM) & Gabby Alfieri have taken the bar formerly known as Staples to the next left. Rebranded, Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar, they're bringing an eclectic mix of live rock & jam bands as well as a variety of DJ's spinning techno, house, funk & more. The "concert" room has been opened up into the bar for easier access. And a wide range of acts are booked including an upcoming show with Sonic Garden, featuring a guest performance by Vin Amico from Moe this coming Thursday. Some of the things that haven't changed are the wide selection of beers and the cool, underground feel. Plans for the future include the addition of a kitchen.
