SUBZERO NITECLUB CELEBRATES 6 YEARS ON CHIPPEWA
In 2004, lifelong Buffalo residents John Balconi & Lucio “Louie” Biondolillo opened the doors to Subzero Niteclub on West Chippewa Street. John, who had DJ’d Buffalo area clubs for over 10 years and grew up helping to run the family-owned Italian Village Restaurant teamed up with his cousin “Louie” (owner of the restaurant A Touch of Italy) to create a dance club that was “all about the music” in the space formerly occupied by The Reservoir.
Turning the basement of a downtown office building into a successful nightclub has had its challenges. But, after six years, John & Louie have hit upon a winning formula. And, it all starts with the right music. By mixing current top 40 dance hits with old school classics, Subzero co-owner John a.k.a. “DJ Johnny B” creates a fun atmosphere for Buffalo area dance-club-goers. Over the years, Subzero has also featured performances and appearances by a number of pop music entertainers & celebrities including: Nick Lachey (solo recording artist & former member of 98 Degrees), The Black-Eyed Peas, JC Chasez (solo recording artist & former member of *NSYNC), Rob Base with DJ E-Z Rock, and pop vocalist DHT who reinvented the song “Listen To Your Heart”.
In spite of a down economy & the recent problems that Buffalo’s downtown business district has experienced, Subzero Niteclub continues to provide a fun, safe & upbeat atmosphere for nightclub patrons.
On Saturday, December 4, 2010, Louie & John opened the doors early at 5pm & invited everyone to celebrate their 6 year anniversary at Subzero Niteclub, downtown Buffalo with live music by local artist Michael Bly & a complimentary buffet. Later in the evening, DJ Johnny B & DJ Paul Foxe along with guest DJ Tom the Bomb were spinning top 40 dance music with DJ Spyke hosting.
