| Dyngus Day Parade - 4/9/12 | |
|
The end of Lent is marked by the traditional Polish holiday, Dyngus Day. And, Buffalo's Dyngus Day parade & celebration is one of the biggest in the world! Thousands of partiers lined the parade route that begins and ends near the Buffalo Central Terminal, looping around Broadway and Fillmore. Afterwards, the local church halls, taverns and the Buffalo Central Terminal fill with revelers and "everyone is Polish". The Buffalo Central Terminal is by far the biggest Dyngus venue, with thousands flocking to this unique landmark for Polish Tyskie Beer, food & live music by legendary polka band, Those Idiots. Check out photos from the 2012 Dyngus Day Parade & Party in Buffalo. And don't miss next year's party on Monday, April 1, 2013 (ironically April Fools Day).
